Currently in July!

Aww man! June is over!?
I hope all of you are having amazing and relaxing summer vacations! Rest, rest, rest! I am linking up with Farley for the Currently Linky Party over at Oh Boy, Fourth Grade!

So...here is what I am currently up to for July!

My cat, whom I have frequently blogged about (because she is absolutely perfect), is my little buddy! She is the best when I am just sitting around this summer! She is either on my stomach while I type, or under the covers by my feet :) I looooove her! Her purring is the best! Those of you who have cats know that this sound can be sooo relaxing! It is such a happy noise! I <3 it!
Um...if you have not tried Lululemon yet, and you like to work out, you MUST go! I will admit that it is on the pricey side...for sure! But if you work out often, it is SO amazingly worth it! I am really excited about it! My family is all obsessed with it! You must go! I swear, when working out, fabric makes all the difference! The fabric of these clothes is perfection for working out! If you don't want to spend a lot, I suggest just getting a shirt you like since a top can make more of a difference when working out!

I have been staying up sooo strangely late this summer! I am turning into a party animal! Haha...NOT! I am just laying around watching TV until the wee hours of the night! I have a confession, though...I think I know the real reason I am staying up so late...
This little angel! Cow!
She lays on my bed with me for a while until I actually decide to go to sleep. We are create training her so she has to go to her crate for bed time; however, I stay up as late as possible just to enjoy our time laying together! She is just so cute!

So that last little thing I want to share...I did not include this sweetheart in my currently list because I think I would have found a way to include her in every section...haha! My niece is here in the mountains! Yay! My sister and her family just got up here today! We met them in Atlanta so that my  niece could meet our grandma, her great grandma! I drove back to the mountains with them and I got to sit next to little Savanna! LOOOOOOVE! <3 <3

Five!

I know that I should be happy that it is Friday...but as these "Five for Friday" linky parties keep happening, I am realizing that Summer is cruising along :(
Don't go too fast, Summer!

I am still hanging out in the mountains and loving it! I have been having the best time! Working out every day, and more importantly, relaxing!

ONE
My husband, who is currently on a business trip, was able to take a whole week off and join us here for some relaxation! We played croquet! Who plays croquet!? We do! Haha! It was really fun, even though I don't think we knew all of the rules. Below is our "Serious Croquet Player" picture.

Will loves to golf and hardly ever gets to, so while he was here I took the job of driving the cart while he played! I also got out once in a while to see if I could find other peoples' lost golf balls :)

TWO
I have been making many animal friends. There are a lot of snails here and I think I found the smallest snail I have ever seen! I am always so careful now when I walk outside! I don't want to hear a "crunch" or I will cry!

THREE
On another "animal friend" note, I have my animal family! Cow and Turkey! They are the cutest things ever, aren't they! Cow is now around 5 months old and Turkey is 3 years old! If you haven't already guessed, Cow is the dog and Turkey is the cat :) Aren't they just perfect!?

FOUR
New recipe alert!
This past year, a student gave me these delicious pretzels as a gift - all tied up in the cutest little bag. At first I thought they were just pretzels, but then I ate one...and then one more...and then the whole bag was gone! They are amazing! I begged his mom for the recipe and she shared it without any hesitation! Yay! I hope it is okay with her...I am going to share with you!
Spicy Pretzels!!!
3/4 cup oil, a dry ranch dressing package, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp red pepper, 1 tsp lemon pepper, and I guess any other spices you want to add! Mix it all up in a bowl. Put the pretzels (I used a whole bag of mini pretzels) in a Ziploc bag (I divided mine into 2 bags to make it easier) and shake it up! Like you are marinating chicken! :) Let it sit for about 4 hours and then eat! They are soooo good! I am thinking about mixing in nuts and things the next time I make this snack mix!

FIVE
So on the work front...what have I been doing? I have updated a lot of my old documents, especially my freebies! I felt like they were getting a bit out dated so I spruced them up! I also have created a new binder for teacher organization. It is EDITABLE! Woo hoo! and...CHEVRON! :) Yay! This is my favorite part of a new year! I looove to get organized!

Get it here on TpT or check it out on my blog post here

New Year, New Binder!

So much for relaxing!
I'm sure a lot of you are thinking that, as you work on your "to do" lists this summer.

Organizing is my faaaaavorite part of a new year! So, of course, the first thing I chose to work on this summer is a new, editable binder!

My classroom theme is rainbow, and chevron is sooo fun, so I went with that for this binder. I love the binder I had last year, but I got tired of looking at the same thing every day! It is always fun to have something new!

There are many different ways a teacher can choose to organize his/her binder. Last year I had all of my sections in one, very large, binder. This year, I chose to separate them into smaller sections. I have 5 main binders this year! I know I will like having a smaller binder with me when I go to meetings, or when I take my binder home to work on my plans. Each binder cover comes in all 6 rainbow colors, so you can choose which colors you want to use. The same color options are available in the spines.

I just love knowing that my shelf will even look nice because of the cute spines! Changing the colors according to each binder also helps with my organization. I can grab the binder I need quickly once I get used which binder is which color. Wait...I sound so lazy! I can't even take the time to read the label? Haha!! I hope I am not the only teacher who feels THAT rushed before a meeting!

In the main section of my binder, I have the calendar pages. There are calendar pages for each month. This is a Power Point document, so you can add text boxes wherever you would like to add text. You will be able to use this year after year!

The Student info. section is the section I find myself using the most! (Well, other than the grade book!) I love this section because the student info. forms that come with this pack keep everything I need really organized. I can flip to the page I need really quickly!
The Substitute section is one I hope I don't have to use! However, you just never know! In this section, the sub will find everything he/she needs to know about how to run your day. You can include your own, personal touches like a seating chart or dress code form. There is also a divider created for you to leave emergency sub plans. We all know that sometimes something can come up and you may not be able to leave
in-depth sub plans! This might come in handy for times like those.
All sections and colors come in blank form, as well! This way, you can add your own dividers as you may need them. Although, I hope I thought of everything for you! Also, you can create a cover page with your name on it, or a fun page for the back of your binder. There are also blank spines in each color. Because I know that some of you, like me, are OCD very organized, I have also included pages on "ways to get organized" with this binder, as well as a whole page on where to download this great free font I used throughout the whole binder! This way, you can make your new dividers look exactly like the rest of the binder! We want everything to be consistent, right!?

Alright...time for my usual, new product giveaway!

Leave a comment to let me know what you are up to this summer and I will pick TWO random people to send this binder to! :) Remember to leave your e-mail so that I can send it to you! I can't wait to hear what all of you are up to! I hope you are relaxing!

Winner's chosen!! Keep checking back as we get closer to August because I just might be doing this again.... ;)

You can get this binder HERE at my TpT store!

Decor for Science Lovers!

Happy Father's Day!
I have a lot of Father's to be thankful for today! My father (of course), my grandfather, my father-in-law, my grandpa-in-law, my brother-in-law (she is the cutest niece ever!), and my husband (the father of 2 pets!). I am so lucky to have all of them! They are the best men around!

I've been enjoying the beginning of Summer by relaxing in the mountains with my mom, sister, and husband. Of course, I cannot just STOP working, haha! That is just not possible! It is too much fun to create things for my classroom! It took me quite a few days, but I am finished with some new classroom decor! It's for all of you Science lovers out there!

I just love it! I am thinking I will need to change my room around so that these can be seen right when you walk in! They are so bright and fun! I love how they incorporate vocabulary, reading, and spelling with Science. There is a lot more writing in Common Core, and I am excited to use these posters as a teaching tool with my students! They can be used for labels on a word wall, or as a book in the reading corner (bind it!), or just as an alphabet over your whiteboard!

Some of you may have seen the Math Alphabet I created last year (in upper elementary and primary), but if you are a Science lover, this is the one for you! This alphabet is 141 pages! I know, I know...the alphabet is only 26 letters!! Why so many pages!? There are multiple choices for each letter of the alphabet so that teachers at all grade levels can find a word that is used in their curriculum! I hope you all like them!

In the spirit of Father's Day, I would love love love to give this product away! So...the first five people to leave a comment and tell me the thing they are most thankful for about a father in their life will receive this Science alphabet in their e-mail! Don't forget to leave your e-mail, as well, so that I can send it your way!

Five for Friday! Summer travels!

I haven't posted since last Friday! Oh no!
I promise I have reasons!!
In short, Summer itself is the reason! Haha!
Oh, Summer travels...

ONE
Started off my trip on the 'heavy' side of things...oops!
I knew this was going to happen! I was not surprised when I had to pay extra for the weight of my luggage! What do you expect? I am gone for over a month!
All I said was...."oops!" haha!

TWO
My sister (the one in the black dress) is getting married in October and she had her bridal shower this past weekend. It was so beautiful! Almost as beautiful as her! I had so much fun getting to be with my family. Such a great girls day! This picture is all of my sisters, me, my mom, and my nana! <3

THREE
You know what going home to FL means!? Seeing my niece! She is sooooo perfect! I am so obsessed with her! How do you fight the urge to squeeze her all of the time? I love this picture because she is playing with toys from when we were little! That little elephant next to her was mine, and I actually remember playing with it! Each part of the elephant does something different...the nose rattles, one ear rattles and the other crinkles, there is a mirror on one foot and a noise maker on the other foot....you get the idea! So fun! I bet they don't make that toy anymore! If they do, please let me know! I will need to get one for my future children!!!

FOUR
After spending a few days in Florida, one of my sisters, my mom, the pets, and I all got in the car to head up to the mountains! We will be here for most of the Summer! The car ride up is super fun because we just relax and enjoy the trip! We stop halfway at the same hotel, every time! We joke because my mom is now a 'gold member' there! Haha! Anyway, I was in the back seat with two of our amazing dogs! They are the cuuuuutest! If you have read some of my older posts, you may notice that my little Cow resembles these two sweet things! :)

Any room for me?

FIVE
I am going to be doing a lot of "getting fit" this Summer! My mom and sister are here at the mountain house, too, and we all have big plans! Haha! Hopefully I can get up off of the couch for a few minutes...
I took this picture after my first round of Body Pump without my 'real' class! I found a youtube video of a class and did that in our gym! Haha! It was great actually! I do miss my regular instructor, though! She is the best!

My sister and I tried to feed a new turtle friend...he was not hungry for lettuce or strawberries today. Maybe tomorrow?

Hello perfect room! I am sooo in love with the room I get to have when we come to the mountains! It is so amazing to wake up and only see trees and mountains! Love love love love!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I will be working on updating some of my older products, and I will post to let you know so that you can re-download the updated copy! I have a few new things to do, too...but I want to get the updating off of my list, first! :)

Five for Friday!

Yesterday was the last day of school...Do you know what that means?
Today is SUMMER! Yay!

I am so excited to start the summer! I cannot wait to see my family and rest my mind for a little while!

I am linking up with Five for Friday at Doodle Bugs Teaching!

ONE
I had lots of really helpful moms this year in my classroom! I wanted to make them something that would not 'break the bank', but that they would use with their kids at home! Something fun! I found this pin on Pinterest to a generic countdown system! I loved the idea so I decided to create it myself! To two on the left are more feminine, these are for the moms of girls :) The two on the right are for the moms of boys! I made these for the teachers I work with, and a few other special people at my school!

You simply use a dry erase marker to fill in the amount of days left on the top line, and the event on the bottom line! Dry erase marker works well on glass and can be erased easily! Kids will have fun counting down the days until vacation or something else exciting!
I have created a file of all of the different countdowns I have created and have posted on my TpT page for FREE!! Click here to download this item!

TWO
I needed to create something for my students for their summer break! I had 30 students this year - that is a lot of presents! These popsicles come in such a huge box and the kids love them! All of the student were so thankful for their popsicles! :) I miss them already!

THREE
5th grade graduation! Ah! I was in charge of graduation this year... I did not realize how stressful 'event planning' is until doing this! I don't know that I like being in charge of it ;) haha!! It is so special planning an event that parents and children look forward to! I am so glad everything went according to planned and the students did such a great job smiling when they received their awards!!

FOUR
I have become obsessed with Body Pump! If you have never heard of this or taken a class, you should look up the nearest classes to you! I LOOOOVE it! :) I go 3 times a week and just run on the other days! I love love love them gym now! I am so happy the whole time during the class! We get to work out while listening to great music! :) I am not into all of the "dancing" types of exercise classes, so this class works so well for me! :) I have really enjoyed it! I am not very strong yet, so I still use very light weights! I will probably never go more than 5 lbs on the bar because I don't want to build muscle, haha! I just want to stay toned and avoid those dreaded "bat wings"!! haha!!! :)

FIVE
My husband, Will, and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary last weekend by dressing up like we did on our wedding day, and eating cake! :) The cake company that made our wedding cake sent us a brand new topper for us to eat! It was so delicious. We still have some left! I have been trying to just have small pieces, but it is sooooo good!

Sitting on the couch in my wedding dress, with my handsome husband, and eating cake...what could be better?

Currently...in June!

The reason why this currently is just THE BEST one yet is because it is JUNE!!! Summer is here!

I am so excited for Summer, as I know all of you are, too!
Four more days!

Link up with Farley at Oh Boy, Fourth Grade!
Head over there to see what everyone else is up to!

As for me...

I have been obsessing over the Florida Georgia Line and Nelly collaboration on "Cruise". If you haven't listened to it yet, you need to! It is soooo great and puts me in such an awesome mood for work each morning. I am really loving their whole album! Great summertime music!

Cow Belle! She is so perfect! I mean, seriously, I have never met a puppy this easy to take care of! She is soooo awesome! To explain just how perfect she is, I will tell you that last night we went to bed around 10 pm, and this morning, I woke up at 8:30....nervous that I left Cow in her crate too long...BUT....She was still sound asleep! So awesome :) She is soo ridiculously cute! She is so good! Cow does not make a 'peep' in her crate, at all! I am just so lucky!
How ADORABLE is she!?! Right!?!

Last picture... :)
For our one year anniversary we went to dinner last night at an old Post Office restaurant. It was literally the best dinner I have ever had, and I will definitely be adding this place to the list of favorite restaurants! Wow! Soooo yummy!
I feel so lucky to be with this man! As my nana says, we have 60 more years to go in order to catch up to her! Haha! :) I can't wait for 60 more years!

Alright teachers, so whether you are already enjoying summer, or currently waiting on summer...enjoy this coming week! I hope it's the best one yet :)
