Five for Friday!

Yesterday was the last day of school...Do you know what that means?
Today is SUMMER! Yay!

I am so excited to start the summer! I cannot wait to see my family and rest my mind for a little while!

I am linking up with Five for Friday at Doodle Bugs Teaching!

ONE
I had lots of really helpful moms this year in my classroom! I wanted to make them something that would not 'break the bank', but that they would use with their kids at home! Something fun! I found this pin on Pinterest to a generic countdown system! I loved the idea so I decided to create it myself! To two on the left are more feminine, these are for the moms of girls :) The two on the right are for the moms of boys! I made these for the teachers I work with, and a few other special people at my school!

You simply use a dry erase marker to fill in the amount of days left on the top line, and the event on the bottom line! Dry erase marker works well on glass and can be erased easily! Kids will have fun counting down the days until vacation or something else exciting!
I have created a file of all of the different countdowns I have created and have posted on my TpT page for FREE!! Click here to download this item!

TWO
I needed to create something for my students for their summer break! I had 30 students this year - that is a lot of presents! These popsicles come in such a huge box and the kids love them! All of the student were so thankful for their popsicles! :) I miss them already!

THREE
5th grade graduation! Ah! I was in charge of graduation this year... I did not realize how stressful 'event planning' is until doing this! I don't know that I like being in charge of it ;) haha!! It is so special planning an event that parents and children look forward to! I am so glad everything went according to planned and the students did such a great job smiling when they received their awards!!

FOUR
I have become obsessed with Body Pump! If you have never heard of this or taken a class, you should look up the nearest classes to you! I LOOOOVE it! :) I go 3 times a week and just run on the other days! I love love love them gym now! I am so happy the whole time during the class! We get to work out while listening to great music! :) I am not into all of the "dancing" types of exercise classes, so this class works so well for me! :) I have really enjoyed it! I am not very strong yet, so I still use very light weights! I will probably never go more than 5 lbs on the bar because I don't want to build muscle, haha! I just want to stay toned and avoid those dreaded "bat wings"!! haha!!! :)

FIVE
My husband, Will, and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary last weekend by dressing up like we did on our wedding day, and eating cake! :) The cake company that made our wedding cake sent us a brand new topper for us to eat! It was so delicious. We still have some left! I have been trying to just have small pieces, but it is sooooo good!

Sitting on the couch in my wedding dress, with my handsome husband, and eating cake...what could be better?

Check out what everyone else is up to at the Five for Friday linky party over at Doodle Bugs Teaching!

  2. How adorable! :) Love that idea. My hubby and I will be celebrating our 7th anny this year! Unfortunately, I wouldn't fit in my wedding dress now that we've had kids! LOL
