I know that I should be happy that it is Friday...but as these "Five for Friday" linky parties keep happening, I am realizing that Summer is cruising along :(
Don't go too fast, Summer!
I am still hanging out in the mountains and loving it! I have been having the best time! Working out every day, and more importantly, relaxing!
ONE
My husband, who is currently on a business trip, was able to take a whole week off and join us here for some relaxation! We played croquet! Who plays croquet!? We do! Haha! It was really fun, even though I don't think we knew all of the rules. Below is our "Serious Croquet Player" picture.
Will loves to golf and hardly ever gets to, so while he was here I took the job of driving the cart while he played! I also got out once in a while to see if I could find other peoples' lost golf balls :)
TWO
I have been making many animal friends. There are a lot of snails here and I think I found the smallest snail I have ever seen! I am always so careful now when I walk outside! I don't want to hear a "crunch" or I will cry!
THREE
On another "animal friend" note, I have my animal family! Cow and Turkey! They are the cutest things ever, aren't they! Cow is now around 5 months old and Turkey is 3 years old! If you haven't already guessed, Cow is the dog and Turkey is the cat :) Aren't they just perfect!?
FOUR
New recipe alert!
This past year, a student gave me these delicious pretzels as a gift - all tied up in the cutest little bag. At first I thought they were just pretzels, but then I ate one...and then one more...and then the whole bag was gone! They are amazing! I begged his mom for the recipe and she shared it without any hesitation! Yay! I hope it is okay with her...I am going to share with you!
Spicy Pretzels!!!
3/4 cup oil, a dry ranch dressing package, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp red pepper, 1 tsp lemon pepper, and I guess any other spices you want to add! Mix it all up in a bowl. Put the pretzels (I used a whole bag of mini pretzels) in a Ziploc bag (I divided mine into 2 bags to make it easier) and shake it up! Like you are marinating chicken! :) Let it sit for about 4 hours and then eat! They are soooo good! I am thinking about mixing in nuts and things the next time I make this snack mix!
FIVE
So on the work front...what have I been doing? I have updated a lot of my old documents, especially my freebies! I felt like they were getting a bit out dated so I spruced them up! I also have created a new binder for teacher organization. It is EDITABLE! Woo hoo! and...CHEVRON! :) Yay! This is my favorite part of a new year! I looove to get organized!
Wondering what everyone else is doing this summer!? Go check it out at
Girl, I love your tank! Where did you get it?
